Xolo Win Q900s & Micromax Canvas Win W121 & Canvas Win 092 are up for Pre-Order

At first we will start with Xolo Win Q900s

The home-grown smartphone-maker, Xolo released the Windows Phone OS-powered Xolo Win 900s in India on Wednesday, 3 September.

Win Q900s got officially unveiled in June and was initially made available for pre-booking at online store Snapdeal, but it never took off for unknown reasons. Today, finally the new Xolo Windows phone has been released at brick-and-mortar stores across India for ₹ 9,999/-

  7. Power the phone up to 23 hours talk-time and close to 263 hours under stand-by mode.


Competition:

Win Q900s is the second domestic brand to boast of Windows Phone OS in India after Micromax, which has already released two devices - Canvas Win W121 and Win W092 for prices ₹9,500 and ₹6,500 respectively, in June

It will also be up against the MNC-branded Microsoft Nokia Lumia 525, 630 and the ubiquitous Android OS-based smartphones like the popular Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Moto E, Lava Iris 5X and other budget local brands.

Micromax unveiled the company's first ever Windows Phone OS powered handsets - Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092 - in India on Monday.

  2. 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
  3. 1GB RAM
  4. 8GB storage (expandable up to 32GB)
  5. 5.0-megapixel camera
  6. 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera 
  7. 1500 mAh battery.

Both Micromax devices ship with the latest Windows Phone OS v8.1 but it has to be noted that the popular personal voice assistant feature Cortana (full version) will be made available in India only next year (Developer preview beta version is available at Windows app store in USA).
